THE GILDED AGE finale brought closure to several plot lines but still left room for a few cliffhangers. It was a stunning episode, including an evening at the grandiose Met where “American society has been reinvented.”
Ada and Agnes’s lives showcased changes that will be decided next season, I am sure, under duress. Oscar’s financial folly will forever be the catalyst for change and, hopefully, forgiveness.
The costumes and the Met were spectacular. They were historically correct and beyond our wildest imaginations. It made me wish to go back in time and be a part of this lavish evening with the entire ensemble. It was extraordinary and breathtaking taking. New York has a rich past to create memorable moments. Well done.
THE GILDED AGE, I know, is a period soap, but I can’t help being swept away in all its drama and splendor.
