THE FIRST LADY S1E9 RIFT ๐Ÿ˜Šย

THE FIRST LADY showcased hard times for all. War, rehab, and aย national election took their toll on Betty Ford (Michelle Pfeiffer), Eleanor Roosevelt (Gillian Anderson), and Michelle Obama (Viola Davis).

What impressed me the most was Bettyโ€™s performance. Such pain, confusion, and utter despair. It tore my heart in half. Phenomenal, gut-wrenching acting. I also thoroughly enjoyed the history behind certain milestone events. Listening to major speeches and knowing more โ€œsecretsโ€ is very empowering.ย

THE FIRSTย LADY is reenforcing the women who have always inspired me. I understand more. I know what it means to be considered the โ€œheart of this countryโ€ and โ€œbe on the same side, yet not feel equal.โ€ It blows me away how high the standards are for ourย First Ladies.ย

THE FIRST LADY has one episode left. I have enjoyed the โ€œeducation,โ€ and I have even adjusted to Violaโ€™s lipsโ€ฆ well, almost.ย ย

It is available to stream on SHOWTIME.
