Oh, how I have missed the genius of TED LASSO. His new series continues the tradition of stellar writing alongside fabulous acting that creates memorable characters and moments for fans to savor long after the credits roll. I loved the familiarity of the town and residents. Who says you can’t go home again? Not true, especially when dealing with “Ted friggin Lasso.”
The set-up of getting all of Lasso’s accomplices in their proper places was pure genius. It felt similar to the problems of dealing with the men’s soccer team, yet different. The addition of Alice (Tanya Reynolds) creates a new twist to the story. Her personality is prickly, but her backstory will pierce the audience’s heartstrings while welcoming her into the fold. Leave it to Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) to break down the necessary barriers. His affirmations and positivity are captivating and endearing. The time spent together just seemed to fly by, and I was left with a huge smile on my face at the conclusion of CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER! I am already counting down the days until episode three airs.
TED LASSO is just what everyone needed to get through the turmoils of our current world situations. It guides viewers to appreciate the smaller things in life and how we all can find our joy. For some, it might be just touching the letters of your name on a wall, while for others…it is knowing that each week for a little while, we will be privy to tuning in and watching TED LASSO do his down-home thing on our screens.
