I knew it. I knew I’d love this song. It’s Taylor back at her country roots, partnering with my favorite producer, Jack Antonoff. Seriously, though, when’s the last time listeners heard a country song with a saxophone? And the bigger question: when did one ever work this well?
Will it win an Oscar and nudge Swift one trophy closer to legendary EGOT status? Probably not. But will that infectious, happy-go-lucky melody plant itself in your head and refuse to leave? 100% yes. I, for one, am “eternally grateful” for another Antonoff/Swift gem built around some of the best movie characters of all time. Here’s to TOY STORY 5 reaching “infinity and beyond” in two weeks.
