E4 and E5 of OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH was more of a slow burn for our two favorite pirates, Stede (Rhys Darby) and Blackbeard (Taika Waititi). While the romance and maturity of the pirates aboard are whimsical, likable, and heartfelt, the actual tension is sorely lacking. The three-episode premiere of OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH makes the unfortunate mistake of keeping our leads separate.
