In SOUTH PARK’s 6th episode of season 27, they take on Gen-Z’s 6-7 to hilarious effect. It’s a spot-on satire of this ridiculous trend that turns into something much, much darker, featuring Peter Thiel, the Cheesecake Factory, and Jesus. It’s pretty offensive, but it also has some of the season’s best moments.
Some of My Favorite Quotes This Week:
- “Five minutes ago, I totally snuck up on Wendy and 6-7’d her from behind.”
- “How small is Donald Trump’s penis – somewhere between 6-7 centimeters.”
- “Is this really what we’ve come to? Freely handing personal data over to some tech billionaire preaching shit about the bible?”
***************
As I watched SOUTH PARK “motoring” towards the perfect cliffhanger to end this season, I couldn’t help but think – they still got it. Trey Parker and Matt Stone can still take outdated movie references (see THE EXORCIST) and mix them with current events. I may never understand the meaning of 6-7, but I get what SOUTH PARK is doing this season – and the world is a better place for having a show this satiric during these strange times.
It’s available on Paramount+.
