SLOW HORSES gave viewers a huge dose of exciting intrigue during RETURNS. The question of the day is, “What does a spook do when he is spooked?” The chase is on indeed.
What I love about this series is the intense build-ups. Audiences never know who will survive or succumb. The British have no qualms about taking anyone out. This is what makes this MI5 spy thriller compelling and entertaining. The train scene kept me on the edge of my seat in anxious anticipation. SLOW HORSES always chooses the unexpected outcome, so it has a huge fan base of action seekers. (Myself included)
Gary Oldman as Lamb was amazing, as usual. It makes me wonder why his character is still not Number One at the Front Desk, but then I must consider his attitude, laziness, and slovenly ways, and I have my answer. Kudos to the writers for creating such an unforgettable character.
SLOW HORSES is not for the mild and meek. It is backstabbing, contentious, and fun to watch. Bring it on…I am thoroughly captivated and spellbound by the entire ensemble.
