SHRINKING destroyed my heartstrings into tatters. I tried to “be brave,” but not even a “booty burrito bang bang” could lift me up for long. Don’t get me wrong. I would rewatch this episode a dozen times because that is how outstanding, compelling, and perfect the writing and acting were. In the end, it is impossible to hide from our past.
SHRINKING is so good at mixing crazy, hilarious lines with brutal truths. The comic relief helps, but showcasing the need for acceptance throughout our journey makes this series such a stand-out. I am talking about taking a long, hard look at where we are (age-wise) and letting go of things we can’t control. Jimmy, Gabby, Paul, Sean, and Brian are beginning to learn huge lessons. It all creates powerful television.
SHRINKING is worth every minute of your time “if you are ready for the opportunity.” No regrets.
