After a few mid SEVERANCE episodes, audiences got another glimpse of how fantastic this show can be when it allows us to care about the characters. And this week, our heart goes out to Gemma (Dichen Lachman), who finally gets the screen time she deserves.
It’s fitting that “Chikhai Bardo” is the transition between death and rebirth. E7 covers those themes while taking inspiration from the emotions of WE LIVE IN TIME or even ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND. Those memories are lived in, allowing us to understand Gemma’s bittersweet origin.
SEVERANCE only has a few episodes left. Here’s to the show sticking its landing and maybe… just maybe letting audiences know what the hell Cold Harbor is.
