SEVERANCE gave us a company history lesson about their unique work conditions. It is definitely a Sci-fi, slow burn, “maze” of a story. It is indeed “two different lives stitched together.”
It is not a comfortable hour of viewing this show. The sets are minimal and stark. Snippets of information is all we get. The characters continually saunter or race through the bare, white halls. Some are trying to escape. It never ends well. It is confusing and intriguing all at the same time. The series demands patience and compliance. I just want a big pay-off at the end.
SEVERANCE is offering a “shape” in a “shapeless” world. I am trying to catch the light and stay with it since I have always been a fan of Ben Stiller, the director. I met him once and all I could see were his beautiful, baby blues. How could they steer me wrong? I am leaving my door both “open and closed.”
