RUNNING POINT S1 REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

RUNNING POINT turned out to be a better series than I imagined it would when I finished the first episode. The comedic storytelling contained heart and eventual honesty. I empathized more with the Gordon family and the Los Angeles Waves franchise. Who knew surprises could be hidden so well?ย

Kate Hudson portrays Isla who leads her brothers, fiancรฉ, co-workers, and basketball team on a merry path of physical comedy bits and pure escapism. She knows how to squeeze every ounce of laughter from each drama-trauma moment. Yet, there are some serious subjects tapped into as well. It boils down to a coming-of-age story no matter how old or young you are. Kudos to the writers for mixing it up so that viewers can enjoy watching some exciting court-side basketball battles.ย

RUNNING POINT was my guilty pleasure, binge-series the past two days. It left on a huge cliffhanger, so time will tell if it returns. In all honesty, it was a nice reprieve from facing the real world.

RUNNING POINT is streaming on NETFLIX.
