NIGHT FAMILY has a slew of hilarious inspired moments, weighed down with a bit of “meh.” I loved the concept of Rick having a “Night Family,” where your sleeping body does the work while you can rest. This concept goes to insane levels with several references, including THE TERMINATOR, SEVERANCE, US, THE NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, and an over-the-top action sequence that won’t put anyone to sleep.

- “Aren’t they going to be suspicious seeing night Summer covered in all this Terry Gilliam?”
- “When you’re alone in the middle of the night, and you wake in a sweat and a hell of a fright. / When you’re alone in the middle of the bed, and you wake like someone hit you on the head. You’ve had a cream of a nightmare dream, and you’ve got the hoo-ha’s…”
There are many worse ways to spend your “night” than E4 of RICK AND MORTY. It’s THE SIMPSONS level zany and will leave all T.S. Elliot fans smiling.
