I STILL BELIEVE sees our favorite Dogs on an “unsure path” that ends season two well above any expectations I had. I’m ecstatic to report that the show doesn’t suffer a sophomore slump.
The season finale works overtime to blend obscure references to THE NEVERENDING STORY, THE LOST BOYS, and MAD MAX. While also pulling at the heartstrings. The theme of season two crashes like a wave on the beach, with each character learning that moving on after death is about letting go of the pain. While some characters might be “scared of what’s in there,” it’s well worth the journey.
Please, please, please do yourself a favor and follow the “white Jesus” to RESERVATION DOGS season two. It’s some of the best content on TV and asks hard-hitting life questions like, “how did people first know you could eat a coconut?” regularly.
