QUEER EYE SEASON 9 REVIEW 😊

QUEER EYE premiered its ninth season featuring the Fab Five, which includes Tan, Anthony,  Karamo, Jonathan, and Bobby’s replacement, Jeremiah. The group is stationed in Las Vegas, making over the male, female, young, and older. Nothing really changes with their routine and silly schtick. They all continually and constantly vamp for the camera, yet underneath the glitter and glam, they project care, kindness, acceptance, and love.

One of my favorite episodes featured Piff the Magic Dragon. He is an amazing and talented magician who needs the Fab Five’s help remembering who he is when the dragon costume is removed. I remember watching Piff on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT several years ago. I fell in love with him then, and now I admire him even more. It was a funny, heartfelt show.

The Fab Five waved their makeover wand over various people who work in Vegas. Ten people’s lives were illuminated and changed… a housekeeper maid, a card dealer, a showgirl dancer, and a former Merlin, to name just a few. “Second acts are emotional journeys, so be prepared for the flowing tears.

I enjoyed the newest member of the group. Jeremiah seemed to fit right in with his creative design talent and heart.  Each had so many segments of instilling joy, laughter, and “gorge” moments.

QUEER EYE is what it is. Don’t expect it to change. They shine a light on the invisible ones. Their job is to lift others up with quick, fleeting makeovers and inspirational words. No more… no less. Sometimes, this is all a person needs to move forward.

QUEER EYE is streaming on NETFLIX.
