ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING S5E7 SILVER ALERT ๐Ÿ˜Š

The “Fun and Games” second act section of ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING was literally “fun-ish games” being played. After the last few episodes questioning why I keep returning to the Arconia, it was refreshing to see the three leads escape their apartments for a countryside adventure. Their “operation” is, of course, filled with mishaps while the devilish Christoph Waltz and smug Renรฉe Zellweger billionaires join the fun.

While I loved seeing those enormous stars return, I can’t help but restate that ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING’s seasons should be limited to seven to eight episodes, max. The current ten-episode arcs stretch out the seasons longer than a full game of Monopoly.

Some of My Favorite Quotes This Week:

  • “First compliment that ever made my bowels evacuate.”
  • “Are you real or will we find out that you died 50 years ago?”
  • “Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, oh, shit!”

I don’t need to have my “Eyes Wide Shut” to realize that ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING is running on fumes. Even when it hits all the right beats, it still feels like mid-TV. In other words, I’m “camel-toned” out on this once original, funny, and joyful series.

It’s available on Hulu.
