Let’s “spill the tea” and “Blow-Up” E6 of ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING. Even with the number of gimmicky hidden cameras, the creators cannot hide that they have been stalling this season. A lot of “chaos” happens this week, but outside of the climax, not much of it is monumental enough to progress the story.
The more I think about it, that is the pattern for this series. They hook audiences with the chemistry of the lead actors, hilarious guest stars, and a murder mystery that won’t be revealed until the final episode. BLOW-UP isn’t a bad episode, but E3-E6 could’ve been combined to speed things up a bit.
I’m not quitting ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING anytime soon. The okay episodes are still good enough to invest in each season. And heck, it has two living legends doing their hilarious shtick after all these years. In other words, I’m all for my “rollover minutes” being used to see where this season lands.
