ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING S2E9 SPARRING PARTNERS ๐Ÿ˜Šย

ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING was a little โ€œbit-ishโ€ disappointing. I was looking forward to โ€œfabulous-ishโ€ย comedy, murder, and mystery entertainment. But all I got was just โ€œgood-ish.โ€ย ย

The problem with this weekโ€™s episode wasย that they split the team up into three different storylines that should hopefully merge in the finale. I missed the banter and camaraderie between Oliver (Martin Short), Charles (Steve Martin), and Mabel (Selena Gomez). This is what tickles our funny bones and pulls us in week after week. I wanted theย โ€œSPARRING PARTNERSโ€ to be together in one room to put all the puzzle pieces correctly.ย

I am totally cool with Oliver dropping by in his pajamas to discuss Greek DNA, Lake Placid, criminal masterminds, and Not OK Oklahoma. The writers should have pulled us into the highest denouement, but it just wasnโ€™t meant to be. I feel like the viewers are free falling, and no one wants to die โ€œheartbroken.โ€

ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING was told from Detective Krepsโ€™ (Michael Rapaport) point of view. I donโ€™t want to be left holding the โ€œpunching bag,โ€ so I am hopeful the final chapter wonโ€™t be a โ€œcop-out.โ€ย ย

It is available to stream on HULU.ย
