ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING’s finale was a “Killer reveal party,” or was it just a “killer party?” So much fun to watch, even with a cut-up “tomato.”
The running gag the writers continually added to the dialogue pointed out, “it doesn’t feel like finale yet.” Not so. Every loose end was tied up, and even next year’s third season was introduced. Mabel (Selena Gomez) summed it up….” You have got to be f—ing kidding me.” I can’t wait. It was hilarious.
The banter between Oliver (Martin Short) and Charles (Steve Martin) was at its best. Those two make improv look so easy. There were many moments I laughed out loud, especially with “slo-mo,” liverwurst and marmalade, along with a bloody, theatrical death. It was creative, fast-paced, and a riot.
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING gave us several plot twists and turns that kept everyone on their toes. Cinda (Tina Fey) was wrong when she said, “no one gives a flying fart.” We all did because the viewers never knew what would happen next. Great entertainment.
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING went out with a bang. It lived up to all the standards of excellence a finale should be, leaving the audience wanting more. I will be counting down the days until season three.
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING is available to stream on HULU.
