NONNAS ๐Ÿ˜Š

NONNAS is a sweet, sentimental, savory, true story. It shares heartfelt memories and inspiration about how a man decides to honor his Mama and Grandmotherโ€™s love of cooking Italian meals that have been in their family for generations. It is a celebration of life and how everyone yearns to be seen, no matter how old we get. It will make audiences remember what it means to sit at a kitchen table and revel in eating good food.ย

NONNAS is packed with a talented cast of characters and actors, which includes Vince Vaughn, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Drea de Matteo, Susan Sarandon, and Adam Ferraro. Watching these pros in action, showcasing the fun and loudness of Italian cooking, was wonderful. It reminded me of past images of my mom and her sisters preparing a meal together. The writers were not afraid to reveal the problems and conflicts. This made it all seem real. The film was filled with positive affirmations that just rang true. And the platters of food were endless, complete with a bit of historic background. I could almost taste each dish they served, and I donโ€™t know how they could eat so many courses. The aromas seemed to jump out of my screen and made me get something to eat, too. I warn you not to watch this movie hungry.

NONNAS made me want to fly to Staten Island to meet the family. It is not a film of great importance, yet it will warm your heart with nostalgia and your hips with a few extra inches.

NONNAS is streaming on Netflix.ย
