LOOT surprised me this week. JOYRIDE was a sweet, sentimental, touching moment with Molly (Maya Rudolph) and Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster). The writing was not over the top, and the jokes were perfectly timed. I was impressed, and the story moved the plot theme forward, reinforcing how change is inevitable when growth occurs.
This episode also shows the tight connections and feelings Molly and Nicholas share. It offered a different perspective from the usual, zany, madcap, humorous schtick. It was simply a good story, beautifully told and expressed.
This was a welcome relief for LOOT’s past fanfare. More, please.
