LAST BREATH is based on a true story off the coast of Aberdeen, Scotland, in the middle of the North Sea. The fact that it happened makes the events all the more intense and compelling.
The writers handled the unusual topic well, providing clear explanations about how dangerous a deep-sea diverโs life can be. A normal pipeline repair can change within a split second. The specificity of all the necessary equipment felt authentic. Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, and Finn Cole made it all look easy. Their calm, compartmentalized facial expressions said more in the silent passing seconds. It was a thrilling adventure.
LAST BREATH emphasized the importance of the needs of the many versus the individual. Most of us donโt consider the consequences that occur every day. Kudos for bringing this deep-sea tale into the light of day.ย
