LADY IN THE LAKE S1 REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

LADY IN THE LAKE is not your average murder mystery to solve. There were far too many twists and reveals, but it did tell Cleoโ€™s story uniquely and lucratively for all concerned. Here’s my take.

E1-E2 ๐Ÿ˜Š

LADY IN THE LAKE is not a sit-back, feel-good drama. Its pacing is slow, and the plot does not connect. However, it is a slice of Americaโ€™s underbelly and past dark decade. I hope we can now say how much life has improved, but sadly enough, the jury is still out for this series.

E3 ๐Ÿ˜Š

For me, the story is slow-paced. I get it, and I want to get on with it. This makes it hard to continue watching. LADY IN THE LAKE showcases the โ€œattic of a womanโ€™s life.โ€ย ย It is not always a pretty sight.

E4 ๐Ÿ˜Š

“I hope LADY IN THE LAKE will pay off in the end, but I am not putting any money on that possibility, no matter how many inside tips are offered.”

E5 ๐Ÿ˜Š

LADY IN THE LAKE gave viewers moments of discovery. Maddie (Natalie Portman) is trying so deeply to connect the dots to this murder mystery. I am not sure that wearing that special dress will give her the answers she desperately needs.”

E6ย ๐Ÿคฎ

“LADY IN THE LAKE was one big hallucinatory dream fest. It was truly an out-of-body experience for not only Maddie (Natalie Portman) but also the viewers.”

E7 ๐Ÿ˜Š

“LADY IN THE LAKE ended Cleoโ€™s (Moses Ingram) and Maddieโ€™s (Natalie Portman) story, continuing their own creative, artsy style. It was amazing how these two women found their connection and path forward within the confines of the civil rights protests during the 1960s and 1970s in Baltimore.”
