KUNG FU PANDA 4 is a serviceable sequel that I liked, and the eleven and eight-year-old kids I took to see it loved. There’s nothing special in this charmingly bland new addition outside of Jack Black’s rowdy cover of “Oops!…I Did It Again.”
Based on this film’s setup, audiences should expect more from the KUNG FU PANDA universe. Is that a good thing? Maybe not for grown-ups. But for the kids excited about hearing Jack Black say, “Skadoosh!” it 100% is.
