Last week, I gave FROM the benefit of the doubt and upgraded its filler status with a positive review, hoping this week’s would be a big reveal. Sadly, I was caught in the show’s revolving “mouse trap,” as E3 failed to live up to any of the hype from E2.
FROM’s premise and the majority of its likable characters continue to be the reason to watch. However, the series struggles to keep the momentum consistently moving forward. Audiences repeatedly see Jade acting crazy, Boyd going into hero mode, Kenny not sharing his emotions, and Fatima enjoying some rotten edibles. It would be exciting if these themes hadn’t already been explored on #NowPressRepeat since the start of season one.
It’s time for FROM to move from past to future tense, TO. If it can’t, it may end up LOST and lose its audiences before it reaches a satisfying conclusion.
It’s available on MGM+.
