FROM S3 REVIEW 😊

FROM S3 has been all over the map. Luckily Aaron and Jami reviewed it weekly to guide audiences on their journey to this uniquely frustrating series.

E1 SHATTER 🤩

This week’s final moments is easily a 🤩, while the rest of the episode falls into the 😊 category. Since that ending was so hauntingly “executed,” I will bump my rating to a “must-see.”

– Aaron

E2 WHEN WE GO 😊

“WHEN WE GO has the trappings of a filler episode. But it’s executed so well and has so many emotional moments that it’s worth checking out. You don’t need to run to see it, as there won’t be much that’s spoiled, but it should be the perfect primer as we head into E3 next week.”

– Aaron

E3 MOUSE TRAP 🤮

“Last week, I gave FROM the benefit of the doubt and upgraded its filler status with a positive review, hoping this week’s would be a big reveal. Sadly, I was caught in the show’s revolving “mouse trap,” as E3 failed to live up to any of the hype from E2.

E4 THERE AND BACK AGAIN 🤩

“FROM S1 was a 😊, while S2 went up to a 🤩. Much like the TV show FRINGE that I loved. An inconsistent first season turned a lot of people off to continuing. But those who did were treated to a rich serialized story that still delivered great weekly episodes balancing the long-running mysteries with self-contained stories. That’s how I feel about FROM. It took a bit to get going, but it’s now running full throttle. Last week’s episode was probably my least favorite in a while, but it still wasn’t a 🤮, sorry, Aaron!  THERE AND BACK AGAIN is the best of this season so far, lucky me!

– Jami

E5 THE LIGHT OF DAY 😊

“I didn’t hate this week. However, I want more monsters, action, and plot progression this season. We are at the halfway point, and as I’ve stated in the past, I know where this show has come FROM, but I don’t know where it’s heading TO.

– Aaron

E6 SCAR TISSUE 🤮

Every serialized TV show has filler episodes. Some are better than others. Unfortunately, SCAR TISSUE is one of the worst FROM episodes and one of the worst TV episodes I’ve seen in recent memory.

– Jami

E7 THESE FRAGILE LIVES 🤮

“After last week’s lowest point, FROM returns with another stinker. Rather than move the story forward, audiences get stuck with characters debating diners, guns, and fate. In a previous episode this season, Boyd mentioned capturing one of the creatures. Yet, the creators have abandoned that plot for more time, with Fatima going crazy, Randall and Julie on the road, and Acosta being annoying.

– Aaron

E9 REVELATIONS: CHAPTER ONE 😊

“FROM reminds me of my love/hate relationship with FOR ALL MANKIND. A series with a ridiculous amount of potential that isn’t living up to the hype. Wait, maybe that’s what FROM needs – a crossover with NASA saving them from the evil that comes out at night. I’ll be right back – I now have a new show to pitch. 😉”

– Aaron

E10 REVELATIONS: CHAPTER TWO 😊

“What audiences will “remember” more than anything this season is that it has reinvented itself for the second time. That reinvention might not be the revelation the creators want, but it’s good enough to keep this viewer hooked.

An unnamed character in the finale states, “Knowledge comes with a cost.” And that’s true since the cost for me will be spending more “time” watching FROM once it returns for season four.”
