“…imagine what we can build…”

FOR ALL MANKIND started its third season ten years, with a time jump to the mid-90s. Every member of the ensemble had a moment to shine. It was easy to get back into the “thick” of the story.

I loved how the winner of the presidency changed from our reality, which made a difference in NASA’s journey into space, to the moon, and ultimately Mars. There is some double spying “afoot,” which adds to the exciting foreshadowing of things to come.

The first episode had its nail-biting moments for sure. Remind me never to “book” an event on the Polaris Orbital Hotel. FOR ALL MANKIND showed it had the power to keep us on the edge of our chairs even when the plot was filled with “stupid” improbabilities. I still believed.

FOR ALL MANKIND continues to work its magic because it is character-driven. We want this “bumbling,” lovable, predictable cast to succeed. And we will follow them wherever the writers take us this season.

It is available to stream on Apple TV+.
