FOR ALL MANKIND S2 E10 THE GREY 🤩

The United States and Russia are officially on the brink of war as the extended episode of FOR ALL MANKIND: THE GREY starts. The show is finally out of the suburbs and “over the moon.” I’ve held mixed emotions about this season. Yet, with a bit of duct tape, the creators somehow piece together an epically inspired finale.

It’s so cool seeing an alternate version of history with a strong group of diverse lead women. From the command center where three women are in control, to outer space, with astronauts Tracy and Danielle – this show deserved to be called FOR ALL WOMENKIND.

The plot this week is cliched space drama. There’s a nuclear meltdown, Russian “space-offs” with guns, and Gordo saying the cheesy line, “there’s only one way to find out” as he proposes a plan so preposterous it might just work. Yet it’s all earned. This is not award-winning TV, this is popcorn fun at its best. The only thing that doesn’t work in the finale is when the focus shifts to Karen and her adopted daughter Kelly. Out of all the strong women, these two are severely underwritten. The show does set the stage for Karen to stop being a “Karen” next season and 🤞it works.

Episode 10 is a solid 🤩 that avoids the “dark side of the moon” and fully earns a medal of honor. My full season 2 review of Apple TV+’s space drama will be orbiting #SpoilerFreeReviews soon.
