I find it fascinating when audiences rate movies three times higher than Rotten Tomatoes does. Itโs that same old story of critics vs. the public. With the film, FIND ME FALLING, I stand on the viewerโs side. It does not deserve such a low score. The leading actor was Harry Connick Jr. as John. There is nothing terrible about that on a hot summerโs day, especially if he sings, and he does.
The cinematography was spectacular as well. Filming on the island of Cypress was stunning. The house on the cliff had magnificent views. I would move there tomorrow. The film shared many friendly, warmhearted moments about Greeks and their culture. I loved that the people spoke and sang in their native language. These were nice touches to make this romcom sweet and believable. Yes, the plot was predictable, but it was a feel-good movie with great values. This is not a bad combo.ย
FIND ME FALLING is not a great film, but it made me smile and want to contact my travel agent. This was enough for me.
