EXTERRITORIAL is a German action thriller. The premise was compelling and at times, even entertaining. What took this film down were the many potholes and clunky acting. The voiceovers did not help. The original actors held all the emotional upheavals that got lost in translation.
The writers do not give the audience the background until they enter the film. Yes, that promotes a build-up of tension and interest, but then they dumped the entire back story in one scene, which whisked us away to the conclusion. It was too fast and too pat. It felt like being dropped into a pit of denouement.
EXTERRITORIAL is really not worth your valuable time. It’s a shame. It had promise in the beginning.
It is streaming on NETFLIX.
