EVIL has ended. What a wild, devious ride these last four episodes have been. The series creators Michelle King and Robert King know how to scare the “bejeebees” out of a person while making the hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention. It was creepy, heart-racing, and so entertaining.
During these final four episodes, audiences were treated to stories concerning an exorcism, doppelgängers, the 60, and demons who walk among us. Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandi are extraordinary actors who help viewers suspend their disbelief while investigating outrageous cases and situations. It just works perfectly. It feels like these three are a team and do their schtick every day. When you add Andrea Martin and Michael Emerson, the show is irresistible, clever, and creative. The song DANG ME is forever stuck in my brain.
EVIL has a unique opening credits sequence that sets the mood and tone for heart-palpating moments. It is not your television on the fritz when listening to the cello crescendo. It gets me every time. I was sad to see the series end, but it was such a spectacular, spine-chilling blast.
EVIL is streaming on Paramount+.
