DEXTER: NEW BLOOD is taking the creepy factor to new heights in the last two episodes. Dexter (Michael C. Hall) definitely has his hands full living with his son, Harrison, played by Jack Alcott. Â
What does it feel like to have life or death power? Harrison wonât admit to anything, except he is angry all the time. Dexter could help him understand those thoughts. If only Harrison knew the truth concerning his Dad, but there are too many doubts about coming clean, especially from Debra (Jennifer Carpenter). Wow, that woman is adamant in her opinions.Â
It doesnât help that a blast from the past makes an appearance and gets the wheels turning in Sheriff Angelaâs brain. (Julia Jones) She and Dexter are in a serious relationship, but can she handle the truth about her boyfriendâs extracurricular hobbies? Can Dexterâs brilliant delivery of lies and one-liners bring him back to the light?Â
Then there are also big reveals centered on Kurt Caldwell (Clancy Brown). I wish I could say more, but, holy cow! How can one small town in upstate New York have so many murders going on? It must be in the air, but Dexter believes it is because he ate TOO MANY TUNA SANDWICHES. It is apparent, no one can âoutrun your rage.âÂ
It is clear in DEXTER: NEW BLOOD that âeven though we are through with our past, it might not be through with you.â Dexter says, âwe all hang by threadsâŠcut the thread, and we all fall into space.â Oh, we are indeed cut loose on this journey of crazy mayhem. I donât know where we are headed, who will survive, and who will be buried under piles of rocks? But I am not going anywhere until Dexter gets all of us out of this hole. I am so hooked (thank you, writers) as I wait for the next chapter to unfold.Â
