DOCTOR WHO led viewers on a confusing merry, sort of “doubt-free” chase. It was weird, entertaining, and ended too soon with a massive cliffhanger to solve next season.
The Doctor has just not been himself lately. Cracks of self-doubt have been an issue this year. It feels unsettled as to where he and his companion are headed in the future, especially if Conrad has control over the writers.
The show moves at a fast clip, continually racing to the next scene. This is part of its charm and a curse for those of us who need to hear the sci-fi theories and watch screwdriver magic one more time to get it. Sometimes my brain is stuck within the bright sets and costumes. It has been a very imaginative time-travel experience.
DOCTOR WHO is a campy, snarky, fun series. I am glad I will have time to take a breath and mull over it all.
