DOCTOR WHO gave fans another extraordinary episode of sci-fi intrigue. It was a “FineTime” until it wasn’t while we chatted about “chap…chap…chapping” hands.” The writers sincerely did not want anyone to voice the alarming commands of “bubble off” and “turn off dot.”
The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) were superb as they tried to interfere, convince, and help this very strange planet. There were moments of sheer terror consumed by selfish angst. Gross images will haunt my dreams mixed with tears of doom. The writers were successful in bringing on entertaining, intense, moments. It was an extremely emotional roller coaster of anxiety superimposed over the bluest of eyes.
DOCTOR WHO is setting the bar high for future Doctors. Fans will continue to hang around this updated series. The sky holds no limits on where, who, or what can be discovered as long as we have the ionic screwdriver in our back pocket. It is streaming on Disney+.
