This is the motive for a new season of glorifying a familiar serial killer. DEXTER: RESURRECTION is all about a reboot for one of television’s most unforgettable characters. Michael C. Hall personifies the deadly, dangerous Dexter Morgan, who has found a new lease of life. It only took resurrecting a myriad of blasts from the past. The dark passenger rides again in more ways than one.
I was very reticent to watch this new series. I thought Dexter was done over a decade ago. I loved how the story ended. It was actual retribution, and Hall had said in interviews that he felt Dexter’s story was complete. Ha! Never say never. Maybe the cash call was too much to turn down. Either way, after viewing the first two episodes of DEXTER: RESURRECTION, I am hooked and fascinated with this gruesome, intricate tale of murder and mayhem. Blood is still an integral part of the procedure. The intensity is palpable. The plot intrigues me. The cast list of fine actors popping in feels amazing, raw, and believable. Kudos to all. The hairs on my neck are standing up already in grisly attention and anticipation.
DEXTER: RESURRECTION might not be for everyone, but if you are a fan, check it out. It’s worth the visit to the graveyard of headstones, whether the body is garbage bagged or politely laid to rest.
