It’s fair to say that MCU TV is back! After YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN, and now DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN, the MCU is two out of two in 2025.
I’m not going to lie – I consumed almost all of the Netflix Marvel TV series in record binge-setting times when they first aired. I did lose hope towards the end with the mediocre THE DEFENDERS and the dullness of THE IRON FIST. I was also pessimistic when I heard about the new DAREDEVIL series. A TV show with a slew of behind-the-scenes drama that somehow didn’t affect what was delivered on the screen.
All those concerns were washed away in a sea of red once I saw Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) together again. These two actors have so much chemistry that anything you put them in will be explosive. Speaking of explosives, the first fifteen minutes of BORN AGAIN should be enough to hook any casual and long-time DAREDEVIL fan. They are sheer comic-book action perfection.
It’s unclear where BORN AGAIN is heading, but one thing is sure – Kingpin and Daredevil will battle as they grapple with how grace can change a person and what it means to deliver retribution. As for this audience member – I’m all in on MCU TV… again.
