COBRA KAI S6 P1 🤩

Since 2018, COBRA KAI has been “sweeping the legs” of the guilty pleasure competition and continuously coming out victorious. With P1 of the final three-part series, the show develops its soap opera-like characters meaningfully while playing up the nostalgia. And I love it, as I once again binged all the new episodes available.

So why does COBRA KAI continue to work so well? It’s three things.

  1. Fun – COBRA KAI will have aired 65 episodes at the end of its run (that’s three more than BREAKING BAD). And while this is not BREAKING BAD, it does show how to have fun consistently.
  2. Characters – At this point, audiences should be well-invested in the characters. And it’s a blast watching Daniel (Ralph Macchio), Johnny (William Zabka), and all the students continue to evolve.
  3. It knows what it is – This is not Emmy award-winning TV. It’s a guilty pleasure that’s easy on the eyes and easy to follow. That makes the show instantly approachable to all audiences.

While the election will receive the most media coverage, I’m excited to tune out the hate in our political climate with one of Netflix’s best TV series, COBRA KAI, this November.

Part 1 of the 6th season is available on Netflix.
