FROM S3E7 THESE FRAGILE LIVES 🤮

After last week’s lowest point, FROM returns with another stinker. Rather than move the story forward, audiences get stuck with characters debating diners, guns, and fate. In a previous episode this season, Boyd mentioned capturing one of the creatures. Yet, the creators have abandoned that plot for more time, with Fatima going crazy, Randall and Julie on the road, and Acosta being annoying. I’m all for cliffhanger episodes. And the ending in THESE FRAGILE LIVES will surely change the trajectory…

THE ROOM NEXT DOOR 🤮

I’m just resigned to the fact that I just don’t understand  Pedro Almodovar’s work as a whole. He always manages to make beautiful-looking films with amazing performances… but more than half of the time his characters don’t have any arcs, and his stories feel glacially slow. I defy anybody to watch this film and tell me that these characters change in any way whatsoever throughout the course of the film. I try really hard with Almodovar flicks. I really do.…

THE PLUCKY SQUIRE is a game I wanted to love but ended up hate quitting. Nintendo shouldn’t hold the monopoly on fantastic platformers. We can have rare exceptions like this year’s ASTRO BOT take GOTY, and that is okay. However, I get frustrated when critics like mediocre games because of the animation, original story, and intent.
