BUTTERFLY S1 REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

BUTTERFLY is an action-packed spy thriller set in Korea. It is filled with dramatic family dynamics.ย ย ย Everyย episode showcases car chases, shootouts, and hand-to-hand fighting. It is exciting, predictable, and at times, surprising.ย

Suspension of disbelief is the key to this six-episode series. The stunt work is plentiful. How many times can a human continue fighting after being cut, bludgeoned, or knocked down? This is the fill-in-the-blank question for the day, which is why there are so many holes in the story content. But hey, remember I said it was exciting. I might also add the words “intense entertainment.” The problem is the dialogue. It is repetitive at times, with perhaps one too many quiet family scenes.ย

BUTTERFLY is the creation of Daniel Dae Kim. (LOST, HAWAII FIVE-0). He said in an interview that he wanted to create a show that brought both Koreans and Americans together. His acting skills are always top-notch. His facial expressions could melt anyoneโ€™s heart, and this time, his fighting expertise is amazing as well. His co-star, Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), is captivating. The opening sequence will blow audiences away.

BUTTERFLY is not perfect, but it does fill a void for escapism during these last days of summer.

It is streaming on Prime Video.ย
