BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY should have premiered on the big screen in theaters everywhere. Instead, fans must settle to see this sweet, heart-warming jewel using the remote control, preferably with someone you love.ย
The Bridget Jones franchise brought back the entire ensemble and included a couple of hunky new delights. The writers knew exactly where to take audiences throughout Renee Zellweger’s creative romp as Bridget to highlight her superb acting skills. This sequel added moments of profound grieving that will guarantee the need for a Kleenex box kept close by in between some very sexy scenes. Life does indeed have its โwhite notes and black notes.โ It is all about when to move on.ย
I must give a shout-out to a few members of the cast. They had me rolling on the floor, laughing hysterically or yearning to touch their impeccable abs. Hugh Grant,ย ย Leo Woodall, Colin Firth, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Casper Knopf, and Emma Thompson were outstanding. The one-line zingers hit their marks every time. I simply adore British humor when done perfectly and effortlessly.ย
BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY was excellent and thoroughly entertaining. It reminded me of the first installment years ago and how we all fell in love with Bridget. Be prepared to experience those incredible warm fuzzy feelings again on a more mature level. This time aroundโฆ wear a whistle and learn the lyrics to IโD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU DEAR.
BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY is streaming on PEACOCK.
