BAD SISTERS are desperate to find the truth. Their course of action has turned into a darker, more physical path, yet it is presented with humorous moments before “entering.”
The sisters are lost in grief and confusion. The writers make it very clear especially when dealing with Angelica (Fiona Shaw). There is nothing this character won’t stoop to do against the Garvey’s. The tone of this series was always a dark comedy, but it feels much more urgent and ominous recently. There are many compacted levels to BAD SISTERS and sometimes it is a tough watch, but the acting quality always pulls me back. Life was never meant to be easy, and these sisters are getting beyond their fair share.
BAD SISTERS is excellent TV viewing. It definitely allows audiences a moment to say out loud…Hey, I don’t have it so bad. And that in a strange way makes me appreciate the love and closeness of family.
BAD SISTERS is streaming on Apple TV+.
