BAD MONKEY is a hoot to watch – as long as viewers are Vince Vaughn fans. He is relentless in his non-stop monologues and dialogues. It is like being in a room with a balloon that continually relieves itself as it deflates. It is humorous at its best and eye-rolling at its worst, but no one seems to care as long it does not end.
The narrator tells it like it is, especially when recapping. Great sarcasm and concise storytelling. Audiences are repeatedly warned not to go along with everything Yancey (Vaughn) says or does, and yet, I feel sucker-punched at every turn. This was especially true after this episode. There is much to be explained, and I can’t wait. I will have my ice cream ready for opening credits.
The writers seem to know where they are leading us all, and for some strange reason, I trust them to not let anyone down. The tale moves along quickly with great expectations. It is simply a clever, fresh, snarky mystery story that is character-driven along the stunning Florida Keys. Anyway, you look at it as entertaining and streaming on Apple TV+.
