AND JUST LIKE THAT…S3E12 PARTY OF ONE 😊

AND JUST LIKE THAT…ended its third season exploring what marriage and relationships mean to women in today’s world. The writers made sure to end this series with thoughts reminiscent of how it all began with SEX AND THE CITY several decades ago. Pie was the glue, the foundation, along with a stunning red dress that Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) pulled off with her usual flair and aplomb.

It was truly time to place that period, not a comma, at the end of episode twelve. Both the main characters were in a good spot. The subplots were wrapped up as well. Was everything perfect? No, but it was good enough. Life changes in a split second daily. Audiences didn’t have to know any more about Charlotte or Miranda (Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon). Their lives will continue in all our imaginations.

The closing montage touched my heart. It has been an intense journey with these women. Were the last three seasons necessary? I don’t think so, but I’m happy for the creator (Michael Patrick King) of AND JUST LIKE THAT… to have the final word.

It is streaming on HBO MAX.
