ABBOTT ELEMENTARY invited viewers to PARTY with the entire ensemble at Janine’s (Quinta Brunson) tiny 350-square-foot apartment to celebrate the end of the school year. Ahhh…brings back so many sweet memories for me as well, but I never was lucky enough to have Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis) as the man checking everyone before they can enter. I would have given him a twenty as well.
This finale taught Janine the lessons about “sections and protocols.” It is tough to PARTY with so many rules and who wants to be stuck in the Jenga area all night? Sometimes it is imperative to let go of the consequences and just see what may happen. The writers were spot-on for hilarity and romance. It was a powerful, brilliant, subtle way to finish the season.
ABBOTT ELEMENTARY gave viewers an opportunity to commemorate “Moving Up Day” with the gang. It was nostalgia at its best. Now all I must do is keep practicing my 48-second handstand all summer long. It is streaming on Hulu.
