ABBOTT ELEMENTARY dealt with heavy topics this week because “this is real life, not Pixar.” Relationships between sisters, parents, and friends are often not easy and fraught with conflicts.
The writers gave Janine (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory (Tyler James Williams) great moments of dialogue. Sometimes though, it is more what you don’t say that rings true. Those tiny breaths and stillness enhanced their performances and made it even more authentic. I also hope Gregory takes his “gardening skills out in the open.”
ABBOTT ELEMENTARY made viewers laugh out loud with their trials and tribulations about Fantasy Football. Just remember…”there is no crying allowed.”
