The second season of A MAN ON THE INSIDE was equally as sharp and witty as the first. The writers did an excellent job of threading the beloved characters from the past alongside some zany new ones. The delightful charm and charisma of Ted Danson as Charles was not lost among the shuffle. It was all thoroughly entertaining. It felt comfortable and cozy yet cleverly written by including several current themes and topics for those of us on the other end of the aging spectrum. There aren’t many series that dare to tackle some heavy concepts. Kudos.
Charles was A MAN ON THE INSIDE at a different location, and it was perfect once again for trying to find the perp who did “it.” Of course, there are those tech moments that will still make audiences chuckle, and with the addition of Danson’s real-life wife, Mary Steenburgen, Gary Cole, and Max Greenfield, the story soared to new heights, with oodles of twists and turns. It was all great fun and never got old. There were poignant, sweet holiday celebrations that will take everyone by surprise at the pure honesty of the moment.
A MAN ON THE INSIDE is wonderful for the entire family. It is tasteful, classy, humorous, all while boldly tackling forgiveness, grief, physical/mental health, second chances, falling in love, and retirement. It has a little bit of something for everyone. I don’t need a code name, be glitter-bombed, or pull an Ace of Spades out of my pocket to make my point. Watch A MAN ON THE INSIDE with family or friends. Warm fuzzies will be coming your way.
A MAN ON THE INSIDE is streaming on Netflix.
