AVA is an American spy thriller that misses its mark. With an all star cast: Jessica Chastain, Colin Firth, John Malkovich, Common and Geena Davis, it is an astonishment how it could not be spectacular. Miscasting is the key.

AVA is an assassin who works for The Company and has experienced several emotional highs and lows in her life.

Yes, there are many epic fight scenes. Yes, there are poignant moments. But not enough for this reviewer to see all the empty holes left in the storyline.

I would like my time back to begin this new year once again, killing the memory of this letdown.
