YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS S1E9 EVERYTHING BECOMES SYMBOL AND IRONY 🤩

YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS wrapped up this season with a poignant, sweet, feisty, inevitable conclusion. Most every dangling plot concern was explained and tucked safely in a secure place. It doubled down on what was the most important factor in Coop’s (Jon Hamm) life. It doesn’t need a second season. Audiences got the message loud and clear.

For me, there isn’t a bunch to say without presenting spoilers. The episode was slick. Smart, and held your attention until the final frame with a repeat of a familiar running gag. The writers consistently highlighted the hypocrisy among the wealthy. It made me wonder why I sometimes long for wealth. Perhaps I am better off being a middle-class person.

YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS will leave audiences with a smile on their faces, surprisingly, because most of the characters had few redeeming qualities. And that’s what made it impossible to stop watching until the bitter end.
