UNHOLY 😊

UNHOLY is a short film shown at the Spokane Jewish Film Festival.

UNHOLY is uncomfortable. It shines a light on all aspects of family gatherings during the holidays. It makes us see the cringe worthy moments surrounding a Jewish family desperately trying not to address the elephant in the room during the Passover Seder. All the young granddaughter wanted was to feel normal as she battles a gastric disease. It’s not always easy to get what you want. Sometimes you get something better.

UNHOLY provides a powerful fourteen minutes for audiences to absorb. It emphasized that love, acceptance, and kindness can be manifested, no matter how fleeting. The film’s subtle nuances hit our buttons until the final frame. It is always difficult holding a mirror up to ourselves, even when it is necessary for change and growth.
