THUNDER FORCE 🤮

Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are two childhood best friends who reunite as an unlikely crime-fighting superhero duo when one invents a formula that gives ordinary people superpowers. Now throw in Melissa’s husband, Ben Falcone, as writer and director. Can’t lose, right? Wrong. There is just so much here to unpack, none of it good. Ben’s script is not particularly action-packed, and not at all funny. You know what it’s like to sit there with that silly nervous-monkey-smile on your face, waiting for something to get funny that does not? Well, that was me. Such a waste of talent, especially the cringe-inducing dialogue, and poor Octavia is really being dragged along on this misfire. OMG.

THUNDER FORCE, screening on NETFLIX, shows how much harder comedy is than super-hero action – SKIP IT!
