THIS IS US shared Kate’s (Chrissy Metz) journey this week as she traveled to San Francisco to spend time with her husband, Toby (Chris Sullivan).

There were several themes highlighted about Kate’s life. Finding your value, your self-worth, and true happiness is the key. These are difficult to achieve either alone or in a relationship. Is the “old version” of ourselves better than the new and improved? Love needs timing, and nothing happens until you are ready. Showing all of these concepts were creatively expressed using three Kates at different ages. It was her epiphany. 

These stories about each of the siblings all came about due to Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) monologue a few weeks ago. Her words are still echoing and resonating, forcing the Pearson triplets to examine their paths in life. It is exciting “to be fearless.” It is their time.
